For decades, it represented stability, opportunity, and the promise that hard work could lead to a better life. But today, that promise is slipping away. Too many families in Northeast Georgia are being priced out of their own communities. I understand that the cost of living—especially housing—is outpacing wages, and it’s putting the American Dream out of reach for working people.

I support strong, reliable government programs that ensure access to healthcare, education, and other essential services—because cutting these resources hurts the very people who need them most. We need policies that lift people up, not push them further behind. That means protect access to affordable housing, expand job opportunities with fair wages, invest in public schools, preserve rural hospitals, and ensure seniors can retire with dignity. I will sponsor legislation to raise minimum wage, increase funding to education and rural healthcare, and to protect social security benefits. These are the building blocks of a healthy, thriving community—and they should be available to everyone, not just a privileged few.
